MEZZO Magazine challenges writers to master the difficulties of the short story or succinct poem. Our e-zine provides a showcase where their best and near-best tales and poems can be read. We provide a supportive setting that brings attention and feedback from readers, agents and other potential publishers.

who we are

MEZZO Magazine is a for profit company (hopefully) that publishes Mezzo Magazine and pursues other print and on-line ventures. We are based in Montreal Canada but our editor volunteers are from the global community. We appreciate edgy and irreverent writing that makes us see, hear and be in the story, we love poetry that moves us or evokes emotions and feelings from forgotten corners of our soul. Our standards are high, and we do not consider a submission unless it gets a majority vote and positive comments from our editors. The stories we publish are intelligent and creative but with no pretence of intellectual aspirations.

Mezzo Team

We are looking for editor volunteers to help us select the best stories from our submission files. Every four months, we publish two feature stories, six to ten flash or short stories and four to six selected poems. Our staff also provides at least one author interview per edition.
